Jak widać, tablet ten w porównaniu do poprzednika jest bardziej mobilny. 

Hybrydowa konstrukcja 

Co interesujące, oba urządzenia cechują się też hybrydową konstrukcją. Wyposażone zostały bowiem w specjalną nakładkę przypominającą nakładkę Smart Cover przeznaczoną do ochrony tabletów Apple. W odróżnieniu od niej rozwiązanie Microsoftu, którego grubość wynosi 3 milimetry, może jednak również pełnić rolę klawiatury zamieniając "windowsowy" tablet w laptop. Warto też wspomnieć o umieszczonej z tyłu obudowy specjalnej podpórka, która może się przydać np. podczas oglądania filmów. 

Cena 

Niestety Microsoft nie pokusił się o podanie cen obu nowych tabletów. Zapowiedział jedynie, że będą one konkurencyjne w stosunku do cen innych tabletów zbudowanych w oparciu o architekturę ARM.
